The Troop is a turn-based, platoon-level tactical game developed by Giant Flame and published by PLA Studios in October 2023 for Microsoft Windows. This game takes you through the desperate battles of World War II, from the early hours of D-Day to Falaise, playing as British, Canadian, or German forces across Normandy.
On the morning of June 6, 1944, the Western Allies launched the largest seaborne invasion in history. D-Day marked the start of a brutal campaign to liberate Northwestern Europe from German control. Over the following months, ancient fields and villages became the battlegrounds for new, lethal weapons that would become legendary.
In The Troop, players command infantry, motorized, and armored units in tactical turn-based combat against an AI that is both challenging and unpredictable yet fair and prone to errors. Engage in battles on over 30 maps and across three different game modes, choosing to play as either British/Canadian or German forces.
